This book is not at all what I wanted or expected. I love brain teasers and I suppose technically that's what is in here, but they seem more like abstract, pure logic puzzles. You know - If A likes B and B likes C and all cats are jerks then what color is the rock? The worst part is that once the author sets up a premise then what follows seems to be 20 more variations with one small tweak. I tried to adapt to it and enjoy it, but could not. I decided to sell it to a used book store so perhaps someone who likes this type of thing can benefit from my mistake.

Good book for testing logical abilities, but somewhat repetitive in its exercises.

I have bought this book several times, as gifts for others and for myself. It starts with a number of pretty easy puzzles to get the mind thinking about things in the right way, then the puzzles get more tricky, but are still based in the fundamentals of logic. Smullyan clearly loves what he does, and his somewhat nerdy passion comes across brilliantly in this book. His explanations to each puzzle are extremely thorough and orient the reader to think about things correctly for future puzzles in the book. I have taught logic for several years and would recommend this book to anyone interested in developing their reasoning skills in a fun, interesting way.

I purchased this as a test for my ability to understand puzzles and how to solve them. It is a test in progress.

I teach gifted 4th - 6th grade children and the logic puzzles are just what they need to develop strong thinking skills. I was pleasantly surprised how many good puzzles were found in the publication.

As a writer, I am suddenly working with PhD's, mathematicians, logicians, physicists, and whatever. This book is really helping my brain to be more logical (did I say I am a writer, an artist, not a math type person?). I am really forced to think, and to use logic. I love this book.

Raymond's puzzles are like a tangled fishing line. He includes solutions to all his puzzles. Me- I'm a dyslexic so you can imagine what they do to me.GOOD LUCK!

Most books skim over the basic highlights, just giving you enough to be a sufficient book. This book actually gives you enough info to start your own real estate wholesaling business!I'm giving this book five stars because of everything above and because I can't think of anything of value that they missed, or didn't get into enough. No book can cover everything in this field but if you're interested in this field, you should start here and then grow outwards in knowledge and experience.FYI, take a lot of notes! Make documents that you can refer to, expand, and modify, based off what's in this book and you'll be off to a much better start than the vast majority.

One of the best books that I've read on the topic. I have read a large number of real estate and investing books/podcasts. This is in the top 10% of all the real estate books that I've read. Author explains processes thoroughly in an easy to understand concept. Author gives great advice as well. Not overloaded with what I call "story time" that takes up so much space.

Tony captured Fresno well

Tony captured some of the characters who make Fresno one of the most diverse cities in California. The good the bad and the ugly.

What a feel for the city! Want to know what is like without having to drive all the way out there? Get this book. Funny, empathetic, sardonic.

Although there were some interesting photos in this book, I wasn't to impressed with it. Some of the photos were just vulgar and it seemed like he was just finding the ugliest things to take photos of in Fresno. I grew up in Fresno and while there are a great many unpleasant things to be seen there, there are just as many, if not more beautiful things as well. I thought this was a book with history and literature, but it's just a picture book, and for the most part, a very ugly picture book. I wish I hadn't bought it. Sorry Tony.

I have been tiling for ablut 30 years and I havelong ago become bored with the run of the mill products available in the stores.This book gets your mind and creativity juices flowing to make something reallydifferent. I have a collection of tiling /mosaic books. Good one to add to yours as well.

Based on the outside cover, the book was exactly what the cover led you to believe about the book. Instructions are clear and easy to read, and the articles about mosaics in history were very interesting to read. I really enjoy the book.

I first saw this book in the library and used it as a resource for a class I was teaching. It has a lot of information as well as photos of different styles. I have since purchased it and one other book for my own personal library.

I've always found Bobby's books to be right on the money and a great asset. I keep this one amongst the rest of his book at my mixing desk. It's a great go-to book when you find an unusual recording situation and need some insight as to where to place mics and what types of mics may sound better for a given situation. I recommend this book highly to people that want to learn the recording process. Check out his 4th Edition of his Mixing book to pick up the rest for when you get to the phase of mixing what you just recorded. Thanks Bobby for another great book!

Mixing Engineers Handbook, 4th edition is another solid book by Bobby Owsinski. No matter how long I’ve been at this every time I pick up one of his books I learn something new. I appreciate the practical advice that he provides in every section. I read these in the wrong order probably (Mix Engineers HB, Music Producers HB, Mixing Bootcamp & Finally Recording Engineers Handbook next up Mastering) but it doesn’t matter each one is definitely worth the $$. I've been in and out of studios since I was young & I've been teaching music technology/recording arts at a variety of colleges/universities/institutes for the last eight years. Mr. Owsinski's books and this one in particular are awesome for fundamentals as well as some more advanced concepts. They serve as a great resource/ lecture material to use with my classes. Highly recommended!

I haven't finished the whole book yet, but it sounds like an authentic book to me. In other words, I think this man know's what he's talking about, just by what I think I know comparing it to what he's writing, if that makes any sense. I like the way he writes, and I like that he gives opinions and examples of products and talks about them realistically. It seems like a very through book and I'm anxious to get back into it soon.
