High quality guidebook with detailed information on route access, descent, equipment and (of course) the route topo. I only wish I could take-out the chapters/ areas info to take with me during the approach hike, or even to the climb (if few pages). Must have guide for the awsome high sierra climbs as well as a great book for your home library.

This guide include GPS coordinates which for some routes in the Sierra's are almost essential if you haven't been there.The descriptions are very well written and so far I have found them to be accurate. Same for the topos.

Many of the topos and route photos are so blurry that they are illegible and useless. Do yourself a favor and buy the digital copy on the Supertopo website.I just received this from Amazon and though it was a bootlegged copy when I saw the blurry topos. After reading some of the forum posts along with messages from Chris McNamara himself, I realized that this is a legit copy. I am a big fan of Supertopos and own several of your guidebooks for different areas. However, I am very disappointed with this book in its current condition. This is not the quality that I associate with Supertopo!UPDATE: I emailed Supertopo.com and they shipped me a guidebook that's not blurry free of charge. Apparently, only the first batch printed were blurry. So be careful where you guy these books from. Best to stick to buying from Supertopo and not random vendors on Amazon.

I appreciated the review of the basics of why and how we should take care of our teeth -- nutrition, daily care, and bi-weekly dental visits. All this is very important for people to review because it is so easy to ignore these factors when we are not experiencing tooth problems.BUT -- the title and sub-title are misleading. I'm sure they were designed to attract buyers and readers. I mean, who wouldn't want a way to "CURE" cavities once they show up! In fact, two of the 9 reviewers so far complimented the author on giving us a method on how to do that. That's the big reason I wanted to read this book -- to find out if and how I could reverse a few of my cavities.DISAPPOINTED, though. She clearly states: "Once teeth have been damaged, they can never return to their previous state and they become more fragile." (Loc. 214). And "once damage affects the teeth, it cannot be fully undone." (Loc. 275). Yet, the author does offer in a concise and clear format a very good mini-manual on the anatomy of teeth ---- why we get cavities and how to prevent them-- dealing with tooth decay-- home care including some natural means for healthy tooth care.So I recommend her book. But I have to reduce my review by one star for the misleading cover. Sorry.

Now I feel well-equipped to regale friends at dinner parties with stories of water bottle warfare, ineffective earmuffs, and draft selections that never existed. If *that* doesn't sell you on the book, I don't know what will...

I’ve been a DGB fan for a while now and this book certainly lives up to his standard. Packed with stories you won’t get in a “normal” NHL history and presented in a manner that makes it fun and easily digestible, Sean not only finds a way to break the literary neutral-zone trap, but also abolish the literary offside challenge while he’s at it. OK, maybe he didn’t do all that, but this book is great fun and you should buy it too. Oh, I also miss his Biscuits podcast. I just want that on the record.

I was so happy to find out that Down Goes Brown had written a book, and so happy to have purchased it and read it, It is a easy breeze through the history of the league, with laugh out loud stories all the way through. The book spends a lot of time covering the 90's - the modern era, which is great because so many NHL books were written during another era.

McIndoe does a very nice job of hitting the high points of NHL history and absurdity in 250 pages. This isn’t an exhaustive study of the league, nor is it meant to be. I consider myself a “business casual” fan of the league (it’s squarely my #4 of the big four leagues), but I definitely learned a few things and had a couple of good laughs and good memories remembering my heyday as a fan growing up in the 80s and 90s. Definitely recommended.

My first thought after finishing the book was that the author is head over heels in love with hockey. Fact and funny meet head on in a really interesting, informative and humorous chronological history of professional hockey in North America. Best sports book I've read since Ball Four
