I started listening to Art Bell on Coast to Coast AM in 2002 about a year before he turned over full time hosting duties to George Noory, although Art continued to host on weekends until about 2006.Art has a great broadcasting voice, first of all, and I enjoyed a lot of the topics his show covered. Whereas George Noory is a career broadcaster who can come across as being rather inauthentic, Art was more of a "regular guy" who happened to have a radio show.I was looking for some light reading recently and ordered "The Art of Talk." I enjoyed reading about Art's difficult upbringing under *two* military parents, his career in the Air Force, and his early days in radio broadcasting before Coast to Coast.Art had some interesting things to say about Americans and their future (this was written in 1998): "America has become soft. We have had it too good, for too long."........and: "I do not see a good future for America, at least the way it is headed right now......Most Americans are in denial about a lot of things. Most of us have our heads in the sand economically, politically, and socially. We are experiencing a rapid deterioration in each of these areas."I think most Art Bell fans would enjoy reading "The Art of Talk."

Somehow, I received an autographed copy of this great book. What a master of radio and his field! Have enjoyed his shows since I flew helicopters for the USCG, and upon returning from flights, would listen to his shows to "decompress".

I have personally known Art for at least a decade and was fortunate to visit him in Pahrump with Ramona in the late 1990s. With Art returning to the spectrum he truly loves, I had to re-buy this book -- and do you wanna take a ride?It's a good background on all things about Art. It's a bit quirky in sections but overall it's a great read about things that go bump in the night. I'm anxious to hear how he takes the show now with no restrictions on the 'bird.Welcome back Art, thanks for making nighttime fun again.

This copy ended up being signed by Art! What a wonderful surprise!! Especially being that I ordered this within an hour or so of his death being announced.

MISS HIM SO MUCH ON THE LATE NIGHT RADIIO.

I was somewhat hesitant to purchase the book based on some of the previous reviews. Personally, I think those reviewers were just looking for something else and didn't appreciate what this book is.It came in a day ago and I burned through it very quickly. Jumping around Art's life from the horse's mouth was a fascinating experience that really can't be adequately described here. I encourage anyone even moderately interested in learning more about Art Bell to pick up this lovely book and ready away.TL:DR Awesome book, will definitely read through again.

Interesting book of a subject I have been interested in.

Art Bell is an interesting guy and he has written this book in great little bites so it's easy to read a little or a lot before bed.

Waste of money, I failed the test. I even bought the CertMaster bundle with a free test retake and still failed the 200-902 test. I passed it on the second try with the free test retake voucher. This book is not all that great just some study practice questions that didn't help me too much. I paid 1 or 2 dollars so I guess I can't really complain.
