Many different styles of images in this book. Download is easy and no password required.I've printed two images from the pdf and have not had a problem with the fainter lines showing up on the prints.It's a nice book, judging from the Kindle and .pdf versions of it.

Medium quality setting on my ink printer.Already started coloring two of them at the same time (could not decide which one should go first lol). I love coloring in coloring books and now that there are coloring books for adults that I can use various medium like markers, gel pens,twistable crayons, paints, and more I'm really into coloring as a way of relaxing and unwinding and distressing. I have several favorite adult coloring books but this one is my favorite.I have purchased quite a few coloring books to see how well they help with stress and I must say this one is my favorite! Thick paper that fine tip markers don't bleed all the way through to the next page. Very fun designs and patterns! This specific coloring book has helped with my stress, whenever I start feeling overwhelmed I pick up the book and sit in a quiet place and color away my problems!! I highly recommend coloring books to relax!

I gave this coloring 4 stars because the designs on the illustrations are interesting and with good color application will be beautiful. The only down fall is the paper quality. The paper is very thin and not suitable to framing at all and you have to draw carefully. I am afraid to use my markers even though they have not bled through on my other coloring books.

I got all of the Kindle books in this series as free downloads to the Kindle Cloud reader. There are some designs that I like, but not as many as I would have hoped. Many designs are like the one on the front cover and the "look inside" feature is a good representation of the images in the book. I prefer a little more details in the images I color. This review is pretty much standard for all the books in this series so it will be repeated in the other reviews.

These designs are just fantastic. The best part is that you are completely free to color them anyway you like. I personally love using colored pencils. Though, this also works great with watercolors. The key is using these for relaxing and expanding your creativity.Far too often we quit doing things as children. Coloring is one such activity that we shouldn't give up when we become adults. This book is a great way to break into the wonderful world of coloring that you may have given up years ago. I definitely recommend everyone give it a try. Even better, the end of the book as the printable PDFs. That makes this a great deal and provides hours of stress reducing fun!

A great addition to a great series. This book like the others in the series before it has great designs and isvaried in it's pictures. The drawings are well done by a great artist and some are very intricate and othersvery simple. It appeals to all skill levels and choices as well as having designs of all kinds. Abstract tofinely drawn, you'll find them all here!

This book reiterates many points about harmful physical tension that my guitar teacher has pointed out to me over the years. The author suggests ways to combat the tension, which occurs in various parts of the body and detracts from the player's ability to relax and put full concentration on the music. In my own experience, this physical tension is very insidious and after awhile can actually cause significant discomfort, fatigue, and even pain---hardly the ideal situation when you are trying to channel all your efforts into the music. It is tempting to forge on ahead and ignore all the discomforts while trying to become a better player, but eventually (as I have) you come up against a brick wall where playing just doesn't feel pleasurable anymore because your body is uncomfortable or hurting somewhere. Aside from being unpleasant and counterproductive, you risk physical injury if you ignore the discomfort over a long period of time.This book has helped me by emphasizing that most, if not all, players, experience these problems, and that resolving them and eliminating the tensions will make you a better player over the long haul. As a bonus, I've found that practice is actually enjoyable and fun again now that I'm more focused on keeping the Tension Devils at bay.

As a sufferer of Focal Dystonia I found the book to be very informative. But it is also for guitarists who want to avoid injury in the first place emphasizing technique for both hands and how being conscious of your whole body removes tension in your playing and thus future injuries.

I'm glad I bought this book. It is loaded with valuable information on reducing stress and posture. My practicing has already improved!

As a perpetual beginner of classical guitar, managing my plus 70 years old sore and stiff joints, I found Mr Leisner's book to be immediately helpful. I jumped to the sections on the left hand thumb and fingers--mine have been sore during practice--and began incorporating, slowly and mindfully, his recommendations, which are helping both physically and mentally. Over the past few days, I've found relief for my left hand thumb. When I attended lessons a couple of years ago, the guitar teacher (trained in classical guitar) never discussed the way to use my body while practicing. Mr Leisner's writing is clear and explicit, without extraneous material, and the accompanying videos that can be viewed online elaborate and demonstrate what he's written. I recommend this book for beginners who might not get this thoughtful help from their teacher.

This book from 1993 to 1995 is a depressing view of the inside of a multimedia project run by young, Generation X Microsofters who sincerely believed in the company vision. Although, with a company that large, that diverse and that disorganised, I think the vision couldn't be seen for the re-organisations.The book follows a group of 20 somethings from the initial ideas of the multimedia project (called Sendak until it's official name of Explorapedia was chosen,) through to almost the delivery stage. And there are two over-riding themes that contribute to the almost failure of the project: unclear lines of control, and indecisiveness.Let's look at these in turn.Production Manager, Project Manager, Art Director, Lead Programmer and Chief Coffee Maker. (Okay, I make that last one up.) Throughout the multimedia project detailed in this book, the roles people undertook always seemed to be fluid in their meaning and responsibilities. One reason for this was that, as Microsoft was growing so fast, internal people were often promoted over external hires and so some quite young staff ended up in fairly senior positions. People who once worked as equals, were now supervisor and the supervised. Which might not be a bad thing, but without the proper training, could be quite catastrophic in the personal and professional relationships of all those involved. Here, this was experienced as the previous Art Director on another project was now the Producer (or the other way around, or the Production Manager - I should have taken notes while reading it,) and it wasn't always clear who had what responsibility. So, one person was sometimes butting in and doing the other's work, and as the project went on, there would be re-organisation after re-organisation which lead to mass confusion about who exactly the decision makers were.We trained hard, but it seemed that every time we were beginningto form up into teams, we would be reorganised. I was to learn laterin life that we tend to meet any new situation by reorganising; anda wonderful method it can be for creating the illusion of progresswhile producing confusion, and demoralisation. -- Petronius Arbiter, 210 B.C.It just seemed to be the Microsoft Way.The other problem with this project was the scope of what was being produced. The clearest voice of reason in all of this was the cranky programmer, who knew quite well when things had to be decided, and not changed in order to have the code finished and tested to meet the ship date. The programmer, as one of the final steps in the design and development process, always appeared to be the one that had slipped and missed their milestones, rather than the designers who had missed their deadlines at the beginning of the project because of an inability to make a decision, and stick to it.And here's where the traditional Project Management Methodology and also Agile Project Management Methodology can fail: once a decision has been made, even though it's software, it costs a lot to go back and re-engineer something. This project almost failed because the scope was a wibbly-wobbly thing that the team never really got a hold on, wrestled to the ground and took control of. As such, late in the design and early development stages, fundamental changes were introduced that changed the game (literally.)So, what can be learned from this? Make sure that the client (even an internal client) knows that a change in scope means changes in time and cost. It's an immutable law of Project Management, and I know we all know it, but sometimes we need to state the obvious. Also, experience pays off - in software development most people are in their 20s, and now that I'm not any more, I can look back and see how inexperienced I used to be, and how much there really is to learn about process management.The project shipped, many people were burnt out, angry, demoralised and just plain over it. But in the end, as we all know, we just get back up again and walk into the maelstrom for one more go, because we believe this time it will be better - it just has to be,Finally, one criticism of the book: I kept getting lost with regards to who was who. Sometimes the author would use a person's given name, and then later in the book, their family name, and then back again. So, as people changed positions, I didn't know who the Project Manager was from the Producer to the Production Manager. It's a small quibble, and really in the end it doesn't distract from the book.

As mentioned in the introduction, you could read this as a story of success or a record of failure, depending on your focus. The Sendak/Explorapedia was released a year late, overbudget, and did not meet the original design objective of a complete multimedia children's encyclopedia on one CD-Rom. On the other hand, it actually did meet the original estimated release date, and it went on to become a best seller and a benchmark in it's category.Actually, I think Fred Moody missed seeing the real benefit to Microsoft of the Explorapedia project. While Moody focussed on chronicling the damage created by the personality conflicts and differences in communication styles, he missed seeing the positive consequences of tackling a project like this which pushes the envelope of existing technology.For instance, here is my take on two of the "problems" described by Moody:1: In the beginning, there was no software developer assigned fulltime to the project.Positive result: The designers, who were mostly Mac people, designed the encyclopedia to use Mac-like features, such as sprites with transparent backgrounds. This was not available on the PC at that time, but the positive end result is that when the PC designers finally started work on the encyclopedia, they were forced to come up with solutions that emulated Mac-like graphics features on the PC, solutions which inevitably expanded the capabilities of the PC and brought it closer to the Mac graphics benchmark.2: Software tools such as Merismus and SPAM were not fully available when the project started.Positive result: This may be the largest contributor for the project's slipped schedule, but the benefit of developing the tools concurrently with the application is that the development of tool features is driven by the immediate needs of the innovative application. Otherwise, the Merismus and SPAM tools would probably have been developed looking backwards to the Encarta project, as in "gee, Encarta would have been a lot easier to do with this tool." Instead, motivated by the needs of Explorapedia, the new tools were driven towards making succeeding generations of software easier to develop, rather than preceding generations.Applying this to my field, hardware development, it illustrates the value of starting a project even if, in the beginning, it does not appear to be feasible within the current state of the art. After all, somebody has to define the state of the art; it might as well be your project. And the shape of a new tool cannot be defined until you know the size and shape of the problem it must solve. Also, as with Mac graphics on a PC, it helps to have a target to shoot for, and the knowledge that it's been done before.To be critical of this book, I would say that a lot of Moody's focus is on communication conflicts: the analytical developers don't value the artistic designers, the women don't manage conflict like the men do, the permanent employees dismiss the contract workers. Another author, Deborah Tannen, has covered this ground with more insight, and Moody's descriptions of conflict between individuals are much easier to understand when reviewed from Tannen's point of view. For the most part, Moody settles for a gossipy telling of all the dirt that went on between people, with little revelation for what caused the conflicts, how they might have been avoided, and why the project succeeded in spite of those challenges. In the end, his revelation is that the project teams are deliberately given impossible goals by Bill Gates, with the intent that every team member, perceiving his last project to be a failure, goes on to other projects with the idea that they must work extra hard to overcome the stigma of that last failure. I doubt that even Bill Gates is that Machiavellian.

I bought this book as a present for a friend who after she had read it a couple times insisted that I read it too, I've read many of Glenn's books in the past and "The Christmas sweater" is right up there in my my opinion, thank you again Glenn we can only pray you continue turning out more books as good as this

This book made me see a different side of Glen Back than the man behind the commentaries of current events. It brings out the meaning of family and the love and sacrifice a family endures. A must read for the Christmas season or any time one needs a comforting expose on human compassion and faithful living.

One of the best Christmas books I’ve ever read and I’ve read a lot! The characters are very real and frustrating at times. It’s so well told that young adults and beyond can appreciate the metaphors and thoughtfulness. A sobering read for Christmas - no pun intended!

I loved it! Glenn Beck has a way of keeping your attention all the way through. This is a good family story about love, acceptance and humility. I will read more of Glenn Beck's books in the future.

This is a wonderful Christmas Story with so many great life lessons for all of us! My book club decided to read it in December and it was perfect!

I stumbled across Glenn Beck on a talk radio station. At first I didn't really care for him, but then I heard him on September 11, doing a commemoration of the anniversary of the twin towers attack, and it touched me in a way that few things have ever touched me. Glenn is a recovering alcoholic who hit rock bottom and with the help of his wife, turned his life around. He has a wonderful view of the family and the importance of each person doing what he or she can to make a difference in our society. This book is based upon his own experiences growing up and is worth the price and much more. (Richard Paul Evans, who wrote The Christmas Box, recommends it highly.) I have purchased copies as gifts for my three daughters. This is a book that will touch your heart and make you stop and think about what is really important in life.

Glenn's book is the bedrock of the American family and lost values refound in this day and age of "what can YOU do for me". All parents, uncles, aunts, big brothers and sisters, need to read this book with their families! This is a book that needs to be shared and placed in the open for all to see everyday of the year, not just at Christmas.We, as parents, must do a better job of teaching our children the value of love and family versus materialistic things. This book is a great starting point. Please read this book and then share with a friend or neighbor. I have bought and given away five copies. Three more on the way this Christmas. Thanks Glenn for sharing such a wonderful story about a family reborn.

This story that the author writes is a very emotional tale of a huge mistake a young boy makes and how he is given a second chance. I liked it and recommend it.

For an upcoming trip to Laos I purchased two maps of the area. This one, and the corresponding Vietnam, Laos & Cambodia Travel Map, 6th (Globetrotter Travel Map). This map is much smaller and splits the region into two sheets. More detailed maps of Phnom Penh, Ho Chi Minh City, Luang Prabang, Hanoi and Central Vientiane are arranged around the main map. Compared with the Globetrotter map this map seems more handy (smaller size), containing much more detail. Topography is indicated by gentle shading, tourist attractions and some natural features are indicated as well. The font is small, but clear and I have no trouble reading it. In comparison, the Globetrotter maps despite its larger size contains much less information, was a disappointment and led me to the purchase of this map which I will bring with me to Laos next month.

Great detail, manageable size and durable. This map will help with my travels through South East Asia. Map also has mass transit points and border crossings.

I was just the right size to take on the trip and I could write on it so I was able to plot my stay all over the country. My plan is to add notes concerning the side trips we'll be taking.

Not as detailed as I had hoped or expected. Was going to return it, but never got around to it.

The Southern Regions are on the back.More detailed maps of Phnom Penh, Ho Chi Minh City, Luang Prabang, Hanoi and Central Vientiane are arranged around the main maps.The roads are well indicated, tourist attractions and the most historically interesting points or nature reserves are signed out as well.I am also able (without lenses!!) to read even the smallest village's names and street names in the city maps, too.The Legend is in English, Deutsch and Francais.All I can say after having it in my hands just now, is - buy it, try it, keep it, recommend it!
